RuneScape's PvP feature, known as the Duel Arena, will also have stricter rules in place OSRS Gold. Jagex declares that the feature "has been a flashpoint for this toxic behaviour" and that 38 percent of bans associated with RWT games to date stem from this element in the game. It claims that this equates approximately "thousands of bans per month".
The developer seems to be going with the nuclear decision, and says "we're planning in the long run for phasing out down the Duel Arena out of RuneScape entirely." In the meantime, it will implement "some quick-term measures" to clean up PvP "until our team of developers can release an extensive update that completely will replace the Duel Arena next year."
They will also have a limit for the quantity of GP or gold point the players can wager on matches in the Duel Arena. Participants will be allowed to place bets "no over 50m GP per duel". Other measures haven't been defined yet.
Jagex states that "a brand-new game experience that'll make up part of the Elder God Wars storyline" will replace Duel Arena by the time 2022 begins, but no further details have been announced yet.
While the impact of these modifications remains to be judged but they are the strongest measures any studio has made to stop external abuse of its system for money. If they are successful, similar steps might be found in the MMO area in the near future.
Jagex recently announced, after 18 years of being the PvP battlefield, Duel Arena will be leaving RuneScape and a new location will be added. RuneScape will be introducing Het's Oasis, with an all-new scenery Buy RS Gold, new techniques for gaining skills as well as two brand new mini-quests that you can play.
